Yaroslavov Val 21/22
Description
Yaroslavov Val St., 21/22, Historical center of Kiev, the most popular street among diplomats and Kiev bohemians. The apartment is located on the 5th floor / 5 floor building. The total area is 80 sq.m. Using the tough, almost brutal LOFT aesthetic of the old Kiev apartment the architect recreated a sensual, Bulgakov-style mystical atmosphere. The spacious studio with a kitchen opened to the light of the four windows, the bathroom was provided with an exit into the hallway, and the bedroom remained a separate room with a window overlooking the quiet courtyard. Small volume interior dictated a strict selection in the materials of furnishings: the spectrum is limited to steel, wood, leather. Bedroom and living-room floors are lined with solid wooden boards; furniture is made of steel or rendered in laconic metal-wood combination; upholstery of upholstered furniture – sofa, pouffe, chairs – exclusively in natural leather. Together with plaster, brick and concrete, these textures work particularly expressively, forming an honest and clean LOFT.
