Description
MAKHNO Studio’s TEPLA Apartment project is a light-filled two-story apartment for two lovers who adore contemporary art and appreciate minimalist solutions. Simple lines, soft shapes, warm colors in the living room — and nothing superfluous. The main accent of the space is a large brown sofa on a podium that extends all the way to the kitchen. The composition is complemented by a Moоoi table in wet clay color. The black and white kitchen serves as a backdrop for textured design details. Above the bar counter hang Makivka lamps, white on the outside and hot gold on the inside. In 2019, this model of designer lamps by Makhno was presented at the first independent Ukrainian stand at the international design exhibition iSaloni in Milan, Italy. On the first floor of the apartment is a guest area for Tepla guests who decide to stay a little longer. The guest bedroom has a separate bathroom hidden in a glass box. Warm shades visually enlarge the space and allow guests to feel at home. The staircase leading to the second floor of Tepla is made of triplex glass — it is so transparent that not everyone will dare to climb it. The design took a lot of time to develop, but what wouldn’t you do to bring your design visualizations to life? The master bedroom has no doors, but it does have designer lighting from Flos, concrete-look plaster from Kelsis, and a wall made of Tetrapods from MAKHNO. And there are no doors. To achieve the levitation effect for the Tetrapod ceramic tile panel, we designed several layers of plywood and illuminated the wall with special track lighting similar to gallery lighting. The bathroom has plenty of air, light, and warm details. All the plumbing fixtures came from the Italian brand Cristina. The pale pink Pivot designer lamps from Makhno were made in this color especially for Teplaya. A smart home makes life in the apartment more comfortable. A parking space for our buyer is a gift.
